Coronavirus Forces North American Automakers to Halt Production Lines
03/19/2020 - As the coronavirus pandemic worsens, North America’s automakers are temporarily closing plants to protect workers and help halt the spread of the virus, reports the Associated Press.
“We have been taking extraordinary precautions around the world to keep our plant environments safe, and recent developments in North America make it clear this is the right thing to do now,” GM chief executive Mary Barra said in a statement.
