Core to Supply Material Handling System for Gallatin Meltshop

April 15, 2004 — Gallatin Steel has contracted Core Furnace Systems Corp. to design, supply and install a new materials handling system at Gallatin Steel’s Ghent, Ky., meltshop.

The turnkey project will feature a new EAF flux charging system including conveyors, bins and delivery system. The new system will allow lime to be fed directly into the EAF during operation of the furnace.

Core Furnace Systems provides a wide range of equipment and services for metals industry, including material handling systems and other types of meltshop equipment, industrial furnaces, automation and control systems, and a wide range of aftermarket services.
