Core Furnace Systems to Supply STC Furnaces for MacSteel
07/14/2005 - MacSteel recently contracted Core Furnace Systems Corp. for the turnkey supply of two STC (Short Time Cycle) furnaces at the company’s Monroe, Mich., facility.
MacSteel recently contracted Core Furnace Systems Corp. for the turnkey supply of two STC (Short Time Cycle) furnaces at the company’s Monroe, Mich., facility.
The 30-ton batch STC furnaces with transfer car and stock tables will be used for spherodizing and cold shear annealing of long bar. Core will design and supply the complete control and automation package, which will feature an EnCoreTM Level 1 and Level 2 control system. The energy-efficient STC furnaces will help to facilitate consistent and superior product quality.
MacSteel also contracted Core to upgrade an existing continuous roller hearth furnace.
