Conveyor Roller Manufacturer Sold to Canada's Metal 7

The business was bought by Metal 7 Inc., a Canada-based manufacturer of iron ore pelletizing equipment, including advanced roller screens, disc filters and combustion systems.

Metal 7 Inc. president and chief executive Marc-André Gervais said Enduride’s patented roller technology, when combined with his company’s surface engineering expertise, will allow for the new product lines that complement its business. At the same time, the deal gives Enduride access to Metal 7’s local and international sales network.

“Metal 7 equips more than 50% of the iron ore pellet plants around the world, excluding China. In addition, Metal 7 is recognized for its innovative capabilities for both its products and its processes. The combination of our respective expertise will allow us to accelerate the development and commercialization of new solutions and to increase our own productivity," said Enduride general manager Simon Douville and vice president of sales Jérôme Guimont in a joint statement.

Approximately 75% of Metal 7’s business is in export markets, and most of those are outside of North America.

Metal 7 board chairman Bruno Fortin said the acquisition is the first in a comprehensive expansion and consolidation plan designed to create a value-added business serving the primary industries.
