Nucor Inc. has awarded Concast America Inc. a major contract to rebuild its four-strand caster in Seattle, Wash.
Concast will replace the technological core of Nucor’s Seattle caster. Scope of supply will include new cartridge meter mold assemblies, electromechanical short-lever oscillation system, and an intensive multi-zone secondary spray ConMax cooling system. Concast will also supply CCS withdrawal straighteners, service systems and a full automation package.
