11/10/2016 - Retired Nucor Corp. chief executive Dan DiMicco, who had been advising now President-elect Donald Trump on trade matters during the campaign, might be in line for a permanent role in the Trump cabinet.
According to a list obtained by the online publication BuzzFeed, DiMicco’s name is on a list of potential appointees for Commerce Secretary.
“A source familiar with the list stressed it was not final, and it is unclear whether transition officials have narrowed it down or added more potential candidates for consideration by Trump,” BuzzFeed said.
Earlier, the BBC speculated that DiMicco might have a role in the administration as a trade negotiator.
