Commerce Department Finalizes Anti-Dumping Duties on Cut-to-Length Plate
12/01/2016 - The U.S. Department of Commerce has set final dumping rates of between 42% and 94.1% on cut-to-length plate from Turkey, Brazil and South Africa.
The case will now return to the U.S. International Trade Commission for its final injury determination, which is due by 13 January 2017. The case arose last spring on a complaint filed by three U.S. producers: Nucor Corp., ArcleorMittal USA and SSAB Enterprises.
The department said Brazil, South Africa and Turkey collectively exported about US$28.7 million worth of cut-to-length plate to the U.S. in 2015.
