CMI Modernizes Heat Treatment Furnace in Belgium
03/05/2014 - CMI Industry has been awarded a contract for the modernization of a heat treatment furnace for Cofely Fabricom (Grimbergen, Belgium), a subsidiary of GDF Suez.
The involvement of CMI Industry includes the supply of combustion equipment, modification of refractories, instrumentation, automation, and dismantling and assembly of the furnace.
This modernization will improve the thermal capacity of the heaters, the temperature homogeneity, and environmental performance of the equipment. The movable hearth furnace deals with curved induction steel tubes for thermal, nuclear, oil and gas industries: pipelines, onshore and offshore pipeline installations as well as pipe work and welded constructions.
Commissioning of the heat treatment furnace is scheduled for August 2014.
