CMC Plant Upgrades Furnace Control
06/01/2020 - Italy’s Automazioni Industriali Capitanio (AIC) recently upgraded a reheat furnace at a Florida rebar mill, the company said.
AIC said in a statement that it replaced an obsolete level 1 combustion control system at Commercial Metals Company’s Jacksonville, Fla., USA, facility during a single week in February.
“This part of the upgrade increased the efficiency of the plant and the flexibility of the automation system,” the company said.
Its scope of work included design, manufacturing, internal testing, commissioning and start-up.
