CMC Announces Four Executive Promotions

Jan. 30, 2007 — Commercial Metals Co.’s Board of Directors has promoted four of its officers, all of whom had previously been elected a CMC Vice President. The four will now serve as Executive or Senior Vice President in addition to continuing their existing, position-specific responsibilities.

The new designations are:

  • Russell Rinn — Executive Vice President and CMC Steel Group President
  • Hanns Zoellner — Executive Vice President and Marketing and Distribution Segment President
  • William B. Larson — Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
  • David M. Sudbury — Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel

“These appointments recognize the responsibilities and contributions that Rinn, Zoellner, Larson and Sudbury have made to CMC,” states Murray McClean, CMC’s President and CEO. “Each is a seasoned and key executive with significant responsibilities and well deserving of the designations.”

Rinn is a CMC employee of 26 years and has responsibility for the CMC Steel Group, which includes two CMC segments: Domestic Mills and Domestic Fabrication. Zoellner serves as President of CMC's Marketing and Distribution segment and as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CMC Zawiercie (Poland). Zoellner has 19 years of service with CMC. Larson has been with CMC for 15 years and is Chief Financial Officer. Sudbury has 30 years of service with CMC and is Secretary and General Counsel of CMC.
