Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. announced the resumption of longwall operations at the company's Pinnacle Mine in West Virginia.
Cliffs suspended Pinnacle Mine's longwall operations in May of 2011 due to detected levels of carbon monoxide at the mine. The company worked closely with regulatory agencies, with the result that operations were permitted to resume at the beginning of October.
