Cleveland Cliffs Names New SVP

In his new role, Hrosik will be responsible for all of Cliffs’ commercial operations, including sales, marketing and customer service. Hrosik has more than 30 years of steel industry experience in commercial functions and most recently served as vice president for flat-rolled steel sales.

“His extensive experience, primarily with Cliffs and its legacy companies ArcelorMittal USA, ISG, and LTV, will play a critical role in driving Cliffs’ strategy forward,” the company said.

Succeeding Hrosik in his previous role will be Michael Cooney, who has been appointed enterprise director, flat-rolled steel sales. Cooney joins Cliffs from Reliance Inc. and brings a wealth of experience in the steel industry, particularly with service centers, Cliffs said.

Cooney will oversee Cliffs’ commercial relationships with service centers and nonautomotive end users.
