CISDI-Built Universal Mill Readied for Service

In a statement, CISDI said the mill will be the first of its kind in China.

“Universal mills have more advantages over the conventional multi-pass rolling process, improving productivity, product dimensional accuracy and performance, while also reducing energy consumption,” the company said in a statement.

The mill consists of two BDCD650 breakdown stands and seven UMCD300 universal stands.
CISDI said it spent 11 years developing its universal mill technology and has received 19 patents. The company also said the technology, along with its short-stress path rolling mill, cantilever mill and reducing mill technologies, are now the backbone of its core equipment, which has been gaining market share around the world.
