Cintolo to Invest In New Technology to Manufacture Stainless Accessories

This move aims to replace foreign imports of stainless accessories into Argentina from China, Taiwan and the United States.  In 2014, the Ministry reports, imports of stainless steel pipe accessories amounted to approximately $3 million dollars of business.

Cintolo's investment will encompass the extension and functioning of the already existing facilities and the incorporation of new hydroforming and cold forming elbow machinery.  In this way, Cintolo will become the first Latin American industry to use this technology to produce stainless steel and great amounts of carbon steel.

Cintolo was founded in 1932 and is currently administered by the third generation of the family. It manufactures pipes accessories for butt-welding, for carbon steel and special accessories for low, medium and high temperatures.

It is one of the main accessories providers for engineering works in the oil, petrochemical, mining and construction material sectors. It employs 200 workers and exports its products to Latin America, and other demanding markets, such as the United Stated and Germany.
