According to the blast furnace specialist, the furnace is one of two being built at the Chinese plant. Each furnace features an inner volume of 5,100 m³ and central-feed Bell Less Top charging systems. In addition to the charging system, Paul Wurth supplied the slag granulation technology and designed the coke oven batteries. 

The second blast furnace is to be commissioned this summer.
