In a statement, the company said the S6-high cold mill will be designed to produce 280,000 tons annually and will roll high-strength steel grades.

“The cold rolling mill will be designed with particular focus on production volume, strip shape and strip thickness tolerances to manufacture products of highest quality,” the company said. 

ANDRITZ will supply the engineering, the mechanical equipment, and the electrical and automation systems. It also will oversee installation and start-up. The new mill is to enter service in the first quarter of 2020.
