Chinese Steel Exports Increase in April
05/08/2018 - China’s steel exports rose 14.7% in April to reach their highest level in eight months, according to the Reuters news service.
According to Reuters, exports increased to 6.48 million metric tons during the month, despite rising steel prices and the Section 232 steel tariffs.
"Exports went up while the steel price rallied and there was firm demand in China, which would mean steel output in China really went up a lot," Xu Bo, an analyst at Haitong Futures, told Reuters.
