According to Danieli, the plant, which features endless rolling technology, can roll various steel grades including weathering steel, peritectic, alloy steels, transformation-induced plasticity, and dual phase in widths ranging from 900 mm to 1,600 mm.  

The plant can produce around 200,000 metric tons monthly, Danieli said. 

“By maximizing the production of light and ultralight gauges — 60% below 1.5 mm — the Danieli Universal Endless plant provides Shougang Jingtang with a competitive advantage in the challenging Chinese market,” Danieli said.
