China Criticizes America's Latest Steel Tariffs
02/06/2017 - A Chinese officials said the U.S. disregarded World Trade Organization rules and ignored evidence presented by producers there in its latest steel trade complaint investigation, reports the Reuters news service.
"In the anti-dumping probe, investigating departments disregarded the cooperation of the Chinese government and Chinese enterprises," Wang He jun, head of the trade remedy and investigation bureau at China's Ministry of Commerce, said in a statement.
Wang was reacting to a ruling Friday from the U.S. Commerce Department affirming anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties of at least 139.5% on Chinese-made stainless sheet and strip.
