China Baowu Braces for a “Harsh Winter”
08/14/2024 - China Baowu Steel Group Corp. is warning of the potential for China’s steel slowdown to spill over to the rest of the world and deepen its own problems, the Bloomberg news service reports.
China’s steel industry is seeing conditions akin to a “harsh winter” that will be “longer, colder and more difficult to endure than we expected,” China Baowu Steel Group chairman Hu Wangming said during the company’s half-year meeting, Bloomberg said.
