Charter Steel Contracts With Tenova for EAF Modification

Tenova said that under the contract with long products maker Charter Steel, it will install the system at the steelmaker’s Saukville, Wis., furnace. The system continuously preheats and charges metallics into the furnace via a double conveyor.

“The double-conveyor system allows the Consteel to be economically installed into almost any type of existing melt shop layout,” the company said.

Installation is to take place in the second half of 2018.
