Carpenter Technology Corp.’s Specialty Alloys Operations unit announced that it will increase base prices an average of 10% on all premium-melted alloys in all product forms. The increase is effective immediately on all new orders.

Carpenter said that demand continues to be very strong for its premium melted alloy products used in the aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical, power generation and oil and gas markets.

The company notes that raw material and energy surcharges will remain in effect.
