CAN-ENG Furnaces International Celebrates 50 Years
08/28/2014 - CAN-ENG Furnaces International recently celebrated 50 years of business with an open house and dinner in Niagara Falls, Ont., Canada.
CAN-ENG Furnaces International Limited, founded 50 years ago by Arthur R. Neufeld and Waldron L. Bamford, has established itself as global leader in the design and manufacturer of industrial heat treating equipment for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. From the first furnaces built in 1964, CAN-ENG Furnaces’ engineering team has provided custom designed equipment for the most demanding heat treating applications.
On 19 June 2014, customers, vendors, industry partners, and employees past and present gathered at CAN-ENG’s head office in Niagara Falls, Ont., Canada for an open house, followed by a dinner overlooking Niagara Falls. The evening kicked off with a warm welcome from Niagara Falls mayor Jim Diodati and CAN-ENG president Michael Klauck. After dinner, guests enjoyed speeches by, former owner and president Wally Bamford and CAN-ENG vice chairman Alan Van Geyn. The evening was topped off with a performance by the Caverners, a Beatles tribute band.
Today, CAN-ENG designs and manufactures high volume, continuous industrial furnace systems, for the automotive industry, specializing in aluminum automotive and structural components; the fastener industry; the foundry and forging industries with equipment to reheat and heat treat ingots, forgings, billets, blooms, plates, bars, coiled bar and wire; the oil and gas industry with equipment to heat treat oil country tubular products including seamless tubing, mechanical tubing, transmission liner and casings and steel plant systems with equipment for continuous plate production.
