California Steel Industries Names New EVP of Operations

California Steel Industries, Inc. (CSI) announced that Harold "Harry" Allin has been elected as Executive Vice President, Operations.

He succeeds Toshiyuki "Ted" Tamai, who was recently named President and CEO of the Company. Allin will assume responsibility for all operations at CSI’s Fontana, Calif., facility, including the hot rolling, finishing and pipe mills, and the maintenance, quality, production planning, purchasing, engineering, shipping and traffic functions.

"Harry’s extensive knowledge and experience will provide strong guidance and direction to CSI’s operations as we continue to grow and improve our company," said Mr. Tamai.

Mr. Allin joined CSI in 1999, where he most recently served as General Manager, Operations. Prior to joining CSI, he worked as the Manager, Operations Planning and Shipping at Gallatin Steel, and as Superintendent, Hot Mills at Dofasco Steel. Mr. Allin graduated from Xavier University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Science Degree in Materials Science Engineering.
