British Steel Chief Executive Steps Down
09/12/2019 - Gerald Reichmann has stepped down as British Steel’s chief executive as the company's receiver and would-be buyer Ataer Holdings work toward completing a sale, reports The Grimsby Telegraph newspaper.
Reichmann joined British Steel as chief financial officer in 2017 and was named chief executive officer in April, the newspaper said.
Turkish investment firm Ataer Holdings, the preferred bidder of the Scunthorpe-based steelmaker, told the newspaper that the move “does not in any way change" its interest in British Steel.
