British Steel Blast Furnace Knocked Off-Line

07/07/2017 - A technical problem has forced British Steel to shut down one of its two operating blast furnaces, reports news and pricing service Platts.

According to Platts, the unspecified problem is affecting the U.K. steelmaker’s Queen Victoria Furnace. The company has begun sourcing third-party medium sections to meet deliveries, it reported.
