Bricmont Inc., Canonsburg, Pa., received a multimillion-dollar contract from Chaparral Steel in Midlothian, Texas, to upgrade and expand their large section mill walking beam reheat furnace.

For the expansion, the furnace will be lengthened to double the heating capacity. The upgrade includes removal of the existing combustion system and installation of new Low NOx burners along with a completely new waste gas system. The modified furnace and associated material handling will be controlled by Bricmont’s Level I and Level II Control and Automation System.

Bricmont’s scope of supply comprises turnkey supply of engineering, material, equipment, construction labor and foundations.
