Bricmont to Supply Dual-Line Tunnel Reheat Furnace for Shanghai Meishan
08/18/2008 - Bricmont will supply a dual-line tunnel roller-hearth furnace for Shanghai Meishan Iron and Steel’s new thin-strip production line project in Nanjing, China.
Bricmont Inc. has been awarded a contract to supply a dual-line tunnel roller-hearth furnace to heat slabs for Shanghai Meishan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd.’s new thin strip production line project in Nanjing, China.
Line No. 1 is 274 meters long and Line No. 2 is 227.6 meters long. Bricmont will supply engineering, materials, procurement and field services for the furnaces.
The dual-line furnace is the fifth furnace of this type in China that Bricmont has designed for processing jumbo slab lengths for semi-continuous rolling.
The new dual-line tunnel furnace is scheduled for completion by Oct. 1, 2010.
