BlueScope Steel Appoints New Non-Executive Director
03/12/2013 - BlueScope Steel chairman Mr. Graham Kraehe announced the appointment of Mr. Ewen Crouch AM as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
BlueScope Steel chairman Mr. Graham Kraehe announced the appointment of Mr. Ewen Crouch AM as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Mr. Crouch is recognized as one of Australia’s leading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) lawyers. He was chairman of partners at Allens, one of Australia’s foremost commercial law firms, from 2009 to 2012 and a partner of the firm from 1988 until he retired in January 2013. During his career he held a number of other roles, including co-head of M&A and equity capital markets, executive partner international offices and deputy managing partner.
Mr. Crouch is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the AICD’s Law Committee and Director Education Reference Groups. He is also a member of the Corporations Committee of the Law Council of Australia. In February 2013 he was appointed a non-executive director of Westpac Banking Corporation. He is also a member of the Takeovers Panel and chairman of Mission Australia.
