BILSTEIN GROUP Nears Completion on German Cold Rolling Mill
09/18/2019 - German cold-rolled products maker The Bilstein Group is preparing to commission a new wide quarto reversing mill in Germany, a facility it calls one of the most technologically advanced worldwide.
In a statement, the company said the mill will be capable of cold rolling steel in widths of up to 1,350 mm for use in the automotive and processing industries, among other applications.
“With the completion of one of the most modern reverse rolling mills at its core and with the commissioning of a new advanced slitting line, the Hagen-Hohenlimburg facility will provide a massive technological boost for the entire BILSTEIN GROUP across all production processes — including internal logistics and annealing, which have been highly automated thanks to investments made in recent years,” said BILSTEIN GROUP chief executive officer and partner Marc T. Oehler.
Based in Hagen-Hohenlimburg, Germany, the new facility is set to open in October.
