Beitai Beilong Starts up Two Danieli High-Speed Finishing Blocks
07/31/2007 - Beitai Beilong Iron & Steel starts up two 10-pass Danieli high-speed finishing blocks at the No. 2 high-capacity wire rod mill in the Bengxi Province.
Beitai Beilong Iron & Steel, P.R. China, recently started up two 10-pass Danieli DWB high-speed finishing blocks at the No. 2 high-capacity wire rod mill in the Bengxi Province.
The Beitai double-strand rolling mill produces 5.5- to 16-mm diameter wire rod in low, medium and high-carbon and HSLA structural grades. It operates at speeds of up to 105 meters per second and at output rates of 90 tonnes per hour per strand, with a coil weight of 2,000 kg.
In addition to the high speed finishing blocks, Danieli also supplied all associated laying heads and auxiliaries.
Beitai Beilong has operated another 10-pass Danieli high-speed finishing block at the facility’s No. 1 wire rod mill since the end of 2000.
