Baosteel Wins Awards in Paris International Invention Exhibition
05/25/2012 - Baosteel had nine projects participating in the recently concluded 111th Paris International Invention Exhibition, and was recognized with three gold, four silver, and two bronze awards.
Baosteel had nine projects participating in the recently concluded 111th Paris International Invention Exhibition, and was recognized with three gold, four silver, and two bronze awards.
The gold awards included Baosteel cold rolling mill’s Wang Kangjian's invention "emulsion emission reduction and energy saving integrated technology," which comprises nine patented technologies. The invention's energy-saving effect has been effectively promoted in three domestic mills and the cumulated profit is more than US $10.5 million. Baosteel hot rolling mill’s Wang Jun's invention "high yield energy saving and environmental friendly hot rolling laminar cooling sets of equipment technology," which effectively improves the hot-rolling finished product rate, also won a gold award. The third gold winner was Baosteel Engineering Wu Jianhua's invention "molten steel vacuum refining top blowing multi-function lance," which has been used in 25 sets of RH projects and exported to South Korea, with very good application prospects.
In addition, Steel Tube Division’s Chen Jie's "immersion focusing probe performance test device and its testing methods," Wang Kangjian's "cold continuous rolling mill exit heavy defect detection and multifunction measurement technology," Baosteel Metal’s Wai Qiwei's "metal print invisible relief anti-counterfeiting technology," and Baosteel Development Corp.’s Chen Yuanjun's " iron oxide for phosphoric acid iron battery and its preparation method" won the silver awards.
Baosteel Engineering Chen Deyong's "automatic grinding device for strip test" and Baosteel Resources’ Lu Ping's "hydraulic shear's material slipping device" won bronze awards.
