Baosteel Tagged as Top 10 Innovative Enterprise
01/03/2012 - Baosteel was awarded the title of "China Top 10 Innovative Enterprises” in December at the China Independent Innovation Conference held in Beijing.
Baosteel was awarded the title of "China Top 10 Innovative Enterprises” in December at the China Independent Innovation Conference held in Beijing. Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and State Councilor Liu Yandong attended and addressed the conference.
The conference was sponsored by Economic Daily with the theme of "China innovates to respond to the changing world economy." The conference released "Assessment system of innovative city and low carbon city" and "Assessment system of innovative enterprises and innovative individuals," and commended the top 10 innovative cities, top 10 low carbon cities, top 10 innovative enterprises, and top 10 innovative individuals.
Ten enterprises, including Baosteel, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp., and China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., were named among the most innovative. The selection of innovative enterprises is based on the assessment of innovation inputs, innovation process management, competitive advantages, technical and financial performance, etc. A focus is placed on the outstanding achievements and performance in the fields of technical innovation capability construction in the past five years.
