According to B&W and Newpoint Gas, the partnership brings together B&W’s patented SolveBright regenerable solvent technology and Newpoint’s modular regeneration skid. Together, they’ll jointly market and supply carbon capture solutions for the steel industry, they said. 

“This is a great opportunity to work with Newpoint to bring B&W’s advanced post-combustion carbon capture knowledge to industrial clients,” said Joe Buckler, B&W senior vice president, clean energy. “Newpoint has dozens of commercial regeneration skid applications, and their expertise complements B&W’s proven boiler flue gas treatment technology.”

Newpoint chief executive officer Wiley Rhodes said the teaming agreement will benefit both companies and their customers.
