Auto Strikes Begin to Dent Steel Demand
10/02/2023 - The United Auto Workers strike is beginning to impact the steel market, which has already been dealing with softening prices for flat-rolled products, reports the Wall Street Journal.
“The air just got sucked out of the steel market,” Jeremy Flack, chief executive of Flack Global Metals, told the Journal. “There’s fear in the market and nobody wants to buy anything.”
