AUMUND Receives Order for Coal, Coke Handling Equipment
09/05/2017 - Baosteel Group’s Shanghai Meishan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. has placed an order with AUMUND Fördertechnik GmbH for six rotary discharge machines that will be used to withdraw coal and coke from storage silos and covered stockpiles.
In a statement, AUMUND said four of the machines will serve a new bank of coal silos. The new high-volume silos, 26 in all, are replacing an open stockpile. The silos are being arranged in two rows of 13. The machines, each with two discharge arms, will travel under the silos.
Two other machines will serve a covered coke stockpile. Those machines will have six discharge arms each to maximize service life, AUMUND said.
