ATI Allvac Announces Price Increases
March 17, 2004 — Allegheny Technologies Inc. announced that ATI Allvac is increasing prices effective immediately on all nickel- and cobalt- based alloy, specialty steel and titanium alloy products.
Nickel- and cobalt- based alloy and specialty steel product prices have been increased by 6 to 12%. Titanium alloy product prices are increased by 8 to 12%. Existing raw materials index and surcharge policies remain in effect.
The company states that the increases are necessary to offset the rapid rise in energy, health care, transportation and other costs.
ATI Allvac, an Allegheny Technologies company, is a leading producer of high performance metals with seven manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe. Nickel-, iron-, cobalt-, and titanium-base materials are manufactured for the aerospace, marine, oil and gas, chemical processing, biomedical, transportation, and nuclear industries.
