ATI Allegheny Ludlum
to Increase Stainless Prices
May 6, 2004 — Allegheny Technologies subsidiary ATI Allegheny Ludlum is increasing prices on hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel sheet, strip, Precision Rolled Strip(R) and continuous-mill plate products.
Prices for these products are being increased by approximately 6%, effective with shipments beginning May 17, 2004. Allegheny Ludlum will also increase size extras for stainless steel sheet, strip and tubular quality sheet and strip. The company says the increases are necessary to offset cost increases for energy, transportation, health care and other manufacturing costs and for capital investment and growth.
The existing raw materials surcharge remains in effect.
