ATI Allegheny Ludlum to Increase Stainless Prices
04/30/2010 - ATI Allegheny Ludlum is increasing base sales prices for cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless sheet and strip products by approximately 6% effective with shipments beginning May 31, 2010.
Allegheny Technologies Inc. announced that ATI Allegheny Ludlum is increasing base sales prices for cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless sheet and strip products by approximately 6%. The increase applies to tubular-quality sheet and strip, continuous-mill plate products and emission-control products.
The company said it is implementing the increases to support continued growth and investment in its business.
Price increases are effective with shipments beginning May 31, 2010. The company noted that all surcharges remain in effect as described on the Allegheny Ludlum website.
Allegheny Technologies, one of the largest and most diversified specialty metals producers in the world, reported revenues of $3.1 billion during 2009. ATI’s products include titanium and titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys and superalloys, grain-oriented electrical steel, stainless and specialty steels, zirconium, hafnium, and niobium, tungsten materials, and forgings and castings.
