ArcelorMittal Raises Offer for India’s Essar Steel
09/12/2018 - ArcelorMittal has put a new offer on the table for Essar Steel India Ltd., bidding the equivalent of US$5.8 billion for the bankrupt steelmaker, according to media reports.
ArcelorMittal, which is looking to establish a manufacturing foothold in India, has confirmed the reports and added that “media reports speculating on the financial value of the revised offer are broadly accurate.”
