Representatives of ArcelorMittal Ostrava gave the basic school in Datyňská Street in Vratimov an interactive board with accessories worth CZK 95 thousand.
“We are going to use the board for the education in junior classes in different subjects. We do appreciate the gift from the steel company as it will make lessons more colorful. Our teachers will have a change to present their subjects in a more entertaining way. Children will look forward to such lessons, which will increase their interest in the subjects,” said Miroslava Klančíková, the headmistress of the school.
The company plans to give the same type of interactive board to pupils of the basic school in Chrustova Street in Slezská Ostrava.
“Our annual expenditures in humanitarian activities in this region reach tens of millions of Czech Crowns. We often help disabled, but one of our priorities is to support the higher level of education of all children without differences,” said Monika Pěnčíková, head of the company responsibility department in ArcelorMittal Ostrava.
In another school on Masaryk Square in Vratimov, ArcelorMittal Ostrava is planning to give pupils five computer sets worth CZK 72 thousand.
