Aditya Mittal, currently president and chief financial officer of ArcelorMittal and chief executive officer of ArcelorMittal Europe, will serve as chairman of the board of the joint venture.

The AMNSI board will consist of representatives from both ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel. ArcelorMittal representatives will include Mittal, Brian Aranha, Prabh Das and Hilde Van Grembergen. Representatives from Nippon Steel include Katsuhiro Miyamoto, Yoichi Furuta, Hideki Ogawa and Taisuke Nomura.

The company also announced the following appointments to the AMNSI management committee:

• Dilip Oommen, director and chief executive officer.

• Alain Legrix de la Salle, director and vice president of sales and marketing.

• Geert Verbeeck, director and vice president – operations.

• Takahiro Nagayoshi, director and vice president – finance.

• Hiroyuki Nitta, director and vice president – technology.

• Amit Harlalka, deputy director – finance.

• Hrishikesh Kamat, executive director – procurement.

• Akshaya Gujral, head of sales steering, distribution and business development.
