ArcelorMittal Joins Effort to Establish Hydrogen Network in Hamburg
04/29/2021 - ArcelorMittal has joined a group of companies that aim to build a hydrogen network serving Hamburg, Germany, reports Kallanish Commodities.
According to Kallanish, ArcelorMittal will use hydrogen from the Hamburg Hydrogen Network to support its Hamburg facility, which is to be reconfigured as a carbon-neutral facility.
“In order to ensure the supply of green hydrogen, we rely on the local hydrogen industry network and a significant proportion of hydrogen from the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub,” Uwe Braun, chief executive of ArcelorMittal Hamburg, told Kallanish.
