ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava Names New Director
12/08/2014 - Since October 2014, the top management of ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava (AMEPO), a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Ostrava, has changed.
Ronjey Banerjjee has become a new director. In this function Banerjjee has replaced Zdeněk Fluxa who recently retired.
Ronjey Banerjjee (33) joined ArcelorMittal Ostrava in September 2004 as a specialist in the area of technical development in the Technical Development and Environmental Protection department. Four years later, in October 2008, he was appointed head of the Project Management department of the Investments section. In May 2010 he moved to Poland where he was responsible for the finance department of ArcelorMittal’s BD East. At the beginning of August this year he was appointed executive of ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava and on 3 October he was appointed company director.
“It is an honor for me to become the director of a plant which is an important part of ArcelorMittal Ostrava. I will make every effort to ensure that we continue providing our clients with high-quality products and services in the area of mechanical engineering and foundry,” said Ronjey Banerjjee.
Ronjey Banerjjee was born in Calcutta, India. He holds a bachelor's degree from Dr. B. R. Ambedkara University in India in the field of engineering production and master's degree from the University of Warwick (Great Britain) in the field of management in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the London Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Ronjey Banerjjee took over the position after Zdeněk Fluxa who had led the company since 2011. After 12 years in the company Mr. Fluxa has retired.
Zdeněk Fluxa started his work in the present-day ArcelorMittal in 2002 as the head of maintenance in Válcovny plechu BESS s.r.o., at that time a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Frýdek-Místek. A year later he was appointed director of the company and held this position until 2010. Then for a short period he became a technical deputy of the director in the then ArcelorMittal Technotron and in 2011 he joined ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava as the production and technical director. In April of the same year he was appointed director of the company and he served in this position until October 2014.
