ArcelorMittal Acquires Pipe and Coating Mill in UAE
10/14/2021 - According to reports, ArcelorMittal Projects, a unit of the ArcelorMittal Group, is set to acquire a pipe and coating mill as well as more than 1 million square feet of land in the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Under the agreement, ArcelorMittal Projects will provide comprehensive, customized, and long-term steel solutions and services through three business units: Foundation Solutions, Solar Projects and Energy Projects, according to GCC Business News.
“The presence of ArcelorMittal Group … constitutes a great asset to the industrial sector in Sharjah,” said Salim Al Mazrouei, director of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority.
“Such a move encourages other investors to launch new vital projects in the near future, especially now that the UAE is moving rapidly toward economic recovery,” Al Mazrouei added.
