Anyang Steel Announces Investments for 1.66 Million Metric Ton Long Products Mill
08/21/2019 - China’s Anyang Iron & Steel outlined on Monday their plan to invest 5.8 billion yuan in a new long products facility with an annual capacity of 1.66 million metric tons per year, Shanghai Metal Market reports.
According to the report, the steelmaker will undertake multiple projects at its Zhoukou subsidiary, including raw material fields, oxygen furnaces, and sintering, desulphurization and denitrification capabilities. The construction should take around 15 months to complete.
Anyang Iron & Steel is among the top steel-producing companies in the world according to the World Steel Association. The company produced nearly 11 million metric tons of steel in 2018.
