ANDRITZ Tapped for Pickling and Galvanizing Line Project
02/22/2022 - The company announced it has received an order from China’s Jiuquan Iron and Steel (Group) Co. Ltd. to supply a new high-capacity pickling and galvanizing line.
When complete, the line will produce hot-dip galvanized or zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated flat steel.
ANDRITZ’s scope of supply includes the engineering, equipment, supervision of construction, and commissioning, as well as electrical and automation equipment.
This order follows a previous contract in which ANDRITZ delivered and commissioned a hot annealing and pickling line and a cold annealing and pickling line for Jiuquan Iron and Steel (Group), followed by two 20-high cold rolling mills.
The line is expected to start up at the end of 2023.
