ANDRITZ Nabs Order for Galv Line Furnace
02/25/2020 - South Korea’s Hyundai Steel will install a new ANDRITZ SELAS Direct-Fired Furnace (DFF) later this year, the equipment supplier has announced.
The new furnace will replace the No. 1 furnace at the continuous galvanizing line at Hyundai’s Dangjin works.
The ANDRITZ SELAS furnace will eliminate issues such as soot formation and cracks in the burner nozzle and assist Hyundai Steel in producing value-added products for the automotive industry, ANDRITZ said.
In addition to supplying the furnace technology, ANDRITZ will supervise construction and commissioning of the project. The project is slated to begin during the fourth quarter of this year.
