ANDRITZ Cuts a Deal With Olympic Steel

The machine has an extensive coil capacity and operates at 300 feet per minute. It can process cold-rolled, pickled and oiled, stainless, and coated materials at yield strengths up to 80,000 psi.

According to ANDRITZ, key features include a heavy-duty precision leveler, split-leveler drive system and a roll feed system. The production shear can handle up to 60 cuts per minute. It also has a reject stacking mode, air float stacker and weigh scale, and ANSI-approved line safety fencing with gate interlocks.

“This advanced equipment will ensure high performance, accuracy and repeatability in Olympic Steel’s operations,” the company said.

Commissioning is set for the fourth quarter of 2025.
