According to ANDRITZ, the furnaces are part of a new production line at the thyssenkrupp subsidiary’s ring mill in Xuzhou, China. The order includes the engineering, electrical equipment and automation software. ANDRITZ also will handle installation and start-up.

“The equipment supplied by ANDRITZ features advanced technology, including low-NO_x burners that will minimize emissions and fuel consumption. Once commissioned, the furnaces will significantly increase the annual capacity of the mill and enhance thyssenkrupp rothe erde’s global competitiveness,” the company said. 

Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
